Ever since the introduction of blog development tools like Blogger, Pitas etc. in 1999, the personal publication tool weblog or simply blog has undergone many transformations. In the infant stages, until 2001, blogs were viewed as personal publishing platform where one can post his or her experiences, complaints, happy moments and pet peeves. Since it world business community has identified the potential of blogs to harness as a powerful marketing tool. Today blogs don’t confine to letters and words. You can find photo blogs (where one can publish photos), audio blogs, also called radio blogs where users can download and listen to audio messages or music and video blogs or vlogs where video files are published.

Majority of blogger platforms today allows the users to publish syndication feeds (RSS or Atom). The feeds are especially helpful for ardent blog readers to keep in touch with the latest updates of a blog - be it anything like photo blogs, radio blogs or video blogs, the user can get the latest content via a desktop based feed reader or a web based feed reader like Google Reader.

There is an estimated 35 million blogs worldwide and the number is fast increasing. The main reason people becoming bloggers is that they need little knowledge about HTML or any software. They can publish to the photo blogs or radio blogs (audio blogs) via a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. The blog platform will do all the necessary background actions.

The taking over of Blogger (blogger.com) by Google is the biggest turning point in blogging. Blogger.com allows bloggers to not only publish their posts, but also allows them to publish their own ads, to experiment with the template. Ads by the supported platform is absent in blogger blogs. Typepad is another blog platform that individuals and companies use.

Companies see blogs as excellent method of attracting and retaining visitors. Google blogs are the biggest example of corporate blogging. Each and every updating about the company is published in department blogs and the subscribers of news feeds can see the updates as and when it occurs.

There are many attempts to cash in on the enthusiasm of bloggers. Almost all companies now promote affiliate marketing through blogs and blog advertising is fast picking up. Bloggers make use of the pinging service by technorati, blogot etc. Pinging service tell search engines that new content is available at the blog. Pinging and newfeeds keeps the search engines busy visiting the blog.

Bloggers that publish text blogs, photo blogs, radio blogs or audio blogs and video blogs enjoy the democratic nature of the blogs. There are no editorial content and interaction with the readers is easy because of the comment feature. Blogging has emerged here to stay. And it will be the medium through which companies sell their products and services in the future.

Blogging is the latest internet craze and it may turn out to be just that and killed off if the avalanche of misinformation continues. One is amazed at how an excellent online medium is promoted for all the wrong reasons.

Now here are some strange concepts promoted about blogs.

‘…blog on about the sex life of the Tasmanian fruit fly and still reap big rewards’
(I would certainly like to know if anyone can tell me)

“Turn Your Personal Opinions, Rants And Raves Into New Subscribers…”

There are hundreds of articles on blogging, promoting a concept of raving and ranting on web space by anyone who wants to have the voyeuristic pleasure of making their maniacal moaning public. What is the purpose of promoting such a concept is something beyond the comprehension of any intelligent person.

Blogs undoubtedly remain the best innovation since the beginnings of internet, putting a web page within the reach of an average person, who has no technical knowledge of web page creation. Anyone can easily create a web page on a pre-designed template by just typing out information which they want to share.

Every individual has something valuable to say in his or her sphere of activity or expertise. Every individual has interesting opinions about life, society, politics, economics, business or anything else which you feel strongly about. Blogs or web log is a journal where you can record your views and opinions and make it available to other people who are interested in the subject.

The key is sharing ‘Valuable’ comments and insights on a subject matter if you want to run a public web log. Somehow the concept got promoted that you can put any kind of incomprehensible ravings on a blog and the result, millions of blogs out there which has nothing much to say except meaningless chatter.

Just imagine your personal diary filled with page after page of meaningless scribbling. Someone reading them in the distant future will throw it out with disgust. On the other hand if you have made insightful comments on issues and daily happenings, it will be read with interest and referred regularly for your views. That’s how a blog works.

Make it personal by all means as in a diary. Let there be emotion but with information. If you want to simply rave and rant you are better off getting admitted and doing that in a nut house than on a web page. No one is going to read them in any case. You will at least save the clutter on the web sphere.

Putting up your business blog is an advantageous way of establishing your presence on web. It’s no longer just about putting plain texts up on your blog.
1. Put photos on your blog. You can try this free software called “Hello”, found at http://hello.com.

2. Add audio clips. Try http://www.AudioBlogger.com and follow instructions.

3. Put streaming video clips on your blog. One of the emerging service providers of video clips is the http://instantvideogenerator.com.

4. Syndicate your contents. You can use the more popular RSS format. You can do this by checking the web for companies that offer this service.

5. Provide space for your readers to give you feedback by checking your blog setting and modify this to allow posts. Of course, leave a reminder, that they are free to post contrary comments as long as they do it in a polite and considerate manner.

6. What do the majority of your readers think of your blog? Do you want to know and tally this up? And show off the results on your blog? Run polls. Some examples of free poll service are the web poll central and free polls.

7.
8. Trackback is a great blog feature, for it allows for a continuing conversation between you and bloggers of similarly themed blogs. When you comment on another blog posting in your blog instead of in that blog’s comments page, the trackback link connects these posts so the thread isn’t lost.

All of these software or plug-ins will help you illustrate your point in a fun and interesting way. But you should remember content is king on the net. These devices are not substitutes for great content, which is what really what drives traffic to your blog.

Property Index can help with overseas property investment, view the properties available for investment.

Albeit Property Index is still a fledgling firm, they were set up only in March of 2007, they have become experts very quickly. On closer look, they’re a extraordinarily unceremonious firm specialised in servicing any person who is striving to rent property in a global environment. Their guarantee: to be of assistance to you to uncover smack what’s looked for very quickly plus, of course, unproblematically. Real estate is up for grabs across the globe nowadays, one of the elite areas being properties available for sale in Italy. It’s easy as ABC to tick off the glorious properties available for sale in Italy, the reason for looking into real property here is the houses and apartments for sale and the ripping chance of being able to live right amid such a welcoming populace.

It’s one of the most trendy countries nowadays, and in view of the gorgeous landscape and the great sunshine that surrounds you all day long, how could you ever be wrong. Real estate in Italy is steeped in history, art and culture, this realm of the world is home to more than a few sophisticated nations. Just 20 years ago you’d find just a dribble of Britons keen on properties in Italy. Ask any individual who has moved to Italy and they’ll back it up. There’s many people who would insist on labeling it a passing fashion and others insist on labeling it a approximating to a fetish! People that are intent on transferring to this place may extend from newly weds looking for a perspective to senior citizens who intend to have a break and enjoy themselves.

Do bear in mind, however, that there might be obstructions when acquiring properties abroad; there are, of course, a hundred actions be it when budgeting, surveying or completing. Even if one single minor action is missed this is certain to definitely initiate sweeping obstructions as well as, more important, financial damage. Obviously and expectably with this well-liked place, properties can be costly in this region and that’s just caused by the great demand. Yet, the patron is rather spoilt for choice in such a place so rich in fun environment and golden setting. It’s able to offer the whole shebang you might wish for and more.

It’s simply not often you find a story that touches you so deeply that you truly weep on its pages. But remember, not all crying is sadness. This book takes you through the lives of a Royal Family and it is truly so profound that you find yourself lost in its pages. You will find yourself holding your breath, crying for joy and sobbing for the losses you feel. You truly become one with the book and the book is written with such profoundness that you cannot help but feel every ounce of emotion involved in the story.

While it is a book of fiction, it is also firmly based on the truth of history. Many aspects of life in Asia (India, Persia, etc.) are so true to life that you cannot help but become encompassed by the life style and ways.

It begins with the Emperor’s daughter, Jahara, telling her story of love and war, life and death. It tells of her family and how one evil, heartless brother can change their world. And most enthralling of all, it tells the story of the Taj Mahal (one of the eight Wonders of the World) being constructed, as an everlasting sign of the love Jahara’s father had for her mother.

The author is quick to point out that while his story is based on fact, it is definitely a work of fiction. People debate to this day as to the length of time it took to build the Taj Mahal and who the head Architect was that was in charge of the project itself. While the story of the reason behind the Taj Mahal has been something told over and over in Asia, the Western World has heard very little of the intimate love story involved. The author brings this age old traditional tale to the Western World in a way that simply amazes you from the very first page.

Jahara tells the story of her life and history to her own grandchildren, in order to hopefully bring her Empire back to the greatness it once was. As her granddaughters have come of age they are given the responsibility of a secret well hidden for many years, as they grew up never knowing they were of royalty. Jahara begins at the very beginnings of her father’s love for her mother, as he meets her in a bead shop and instantly falls in love. Being of royalty he cannot marry beneath him and knows that he must follow the rules he has been born into, but simply will not let this rest. His father gives in to this desire in the end, and with many rules and deals, decides that his son may marry the woman he loves so very much if he abides by what the father needs him to do before the marriage. Waiting 5 years, they finally get to marry and from that day forth never separate again until death. She tells of the births of her siblings and herself, of the moments she stole with her parents, seeing their undeniable love for each other. She tells of the ways of the Empire and royalty in that time and of how women were simply second class citizens. Yet somehow, her father was wise well beyond his years and saw the importance of his women’s minds and abilities. This insight allowed him to rule his kingdom in near bliss until his oldest son becomes a horrible threat, not only to the kingdom but to the happiness of the family.

The author somehow tells of every minor detail of the life of a princess in India with such intensity you wonder how he can not truly be the princess herself. He tells of friendships, so loyal that you cannot believe and of love so profound it stands the test of not only time but hatred and sabotage. He shows how easy it is to give up your own desires and dreams, simply to make others happy. He shows how love can be everlasting and hatred can eat a person’s mind away, creating unhappiness so profound it borders insanity. He shows all of this through the wise eyes of princess growing up and growing old.

It is very rare that you will find a book this intense, this fulfilling and this intriguing. By the end of this wonderful story not only had I laughed, cried and held my breath but I was so intrigued with the ways and lives of Asia that I began to delve into investigating the Taj Mahal itself. After reading the book, you no longer see just a building of extreme beauty… you see so much more.

Truly one of the best reads of 2006 and hopefully for years to come as I think everyone of every age would benefit from reading this historical fiction. My teenage daughter heard about the story and immediately staked claims on the book, the minute I finished. It can intrigue males and females, teens and adults. It’s simply filled with so much knowledge that you walk away a changed person. And in the end, you will wonder if you are as strong as you thought. Could you end up the way this beautiful princess did? Could you make the same choices so easily? You will dream of India in a whole new way, even without a plane ticket there. Lucky for us, we can go there through the eyes of a princess and see the Taj Mahal in a way many never will. Don’t miss the opportunity to see the world from a whole new perspective.

It is a sad to me that most people still do not recognize the possible benefits of positive thinking. This resistance to what is really a simple notion comes from a number of angles. Some people may shy away from anything to do with the mind, and dismiss any related subject as nonsense; others may laugh it off as a New Age fad, airy fairy hogwash with no scientific proof, much in the same arena as UFO’s piloted by aliens. Some may even have tried positive thinking once for two minutes, saw no great change in their lives, so reverted to normal.

At least with aliens and UFO’s you can make movies and television series to make them exciting, but with down to earth positive thinking that is not so. Watching somebody think is not good drama, and results of positive thinking in practice can be very slow and subtle anyway.

Two of the attractions of using positive thinking are that it is easy, and it is free. However, before being convinced that it is something they should use, most people would need to see some quite dramatic and immediate example of its success, which is not easy to find. Given that positive thinking has to be applied over time to bring noticeable results in an individual, a stark and living example of the successful use of positive thinking is hard to come by.

So, what of the positive thinking examples that have happened over time, with a successful outcome? They can be easily dismissed by those who just do not want to believe: “Oh, that would have happened anyway, without positive thinking.” However, if the story is told to a lot of people, maybe one or two people will start to wonder: “Oh, maybe there is something in positive thinking after all.”

I think that probably the most convincing argument in favour of positive thinking is that it is plain common sense. An individual has their own mind, which controls their body and their actions. If that mind is sending out an overload of negative signals all the time, is the outcome not going to sway towards the negative? That sounds like a common sense notion to me, not hocus pocus, New Age, or even some advanced scientific theory. If the mind is sending out predominantly positive messages, then the opposite would be true.

Even without the common sense angle, though, I have good reason to believe the use of positive thinking in my own life has been both positive in its results, and significant in its impact. I am therefore able to support my belief in positive thinking with practical examples, and in the following three articles will recall some of those longer term examples.

“Things are clear for me , the military operation in Gaza ,aims to destroy the infrastructure completely,to end up with no goverment no PA , no negotiations with palestinians, peace is not israel goal, israel is a colonial , racist regeime, hiding behind democracy.and its citizens security.

THE AIR RAID IS CONTINUING” Mona Elfarra-Gaza

One of the most profoundly simple statements ever uttered in the past 100 years was done so by Rodney King of Los Angeles standing behind a microphone a bit bewildered by the attention he was getting for having been beaten almost to death by “authorities.” “Can’t we all just get along?”

The anwer is evidently no. You’d think that a country with a history of recently having been the object of eradication by others, would not think they need to pass the same misery on to others. But alas, even as I write, the small nation of Israel, that like other nations on the planet, can at times cause more problems than they are worth for others, is pounding the crap out of a smaller minority of people who simply wish to be left alone, have some place to live safely and enjoy the brief experience we call life on this planet. Evidently that is asking too much of a people who looked to the German authorities not all that long ago to be given the very same considerations. It was not and evidently is not to be.

Is it because Israel is “The Holy Land,” what a joke, that no one seems to be able to tell them to try talking politely with respect towards all concerned for a change. If you were Palestinian, would you not fight like hell to save yourself and your family since you have already arrived on the planet and wish to stay awhile? That’s also the current problem with our country and the current administration. Bluster, bully and then bomb seems to be the way things get done, when of course they don’t get done at all. Anytime a North Korea, Iran or perceive “enemy” of who, of course, hate our freedom, tries to talk to us, an excuse arises as to why that won’t work. Makes you think there is some other agenda going on here.

If we were talking about Uganda, or Uzbeckistan, no one would care. God never lived there! It’s the waste howling wilderness we call “The Holy Land” that gets way too much attention. I have to say, they have managed to save their hides over the past decades by convincing Christians that God still lives in Jerusalem near the Temple Mount, so specialness preserves and protects. I worked on a dig at Megiddo a few years ago and was told by an Israeli friend, “we live by our witts around here.” They surely do, don’t we all, and must I suppose, but why on earth they can’t talk to others who have the same right is getting beyond me.

Go ahead and “Google Earth” the Gaza strip and then push the retreat button and see just how small the space is that Palestinians can’t have. Of course keep going and see how small Israel is. Keep going and see how small the planet is in the vastness of space…keep going and see how small space is in the vastness of the universe. Then ask why these mere specks on an obscure planet cannot have an obscure space of their own to live a relatively short time and be left in peace. Stupid isn’t it? Most leaders of most nations are stupid, selfserving and have forgotten long ago what it means to give every human on the planet the basic love and respect they deserve. All my life, the rules in African leadership, for example, seems to be kill the last guy, now comes the savior of the people, he forgets his roots, robs the country blind and the cycle starts again. Here is the rule for aspiring leaders. You were first human and wanted love, respect and peace before you were in charge. Try not to forget this basic fact. Most do.

” I am writing while the jet fighters are in the sky , with their horrible
sound , bringing death and horror,it is 10.30pm, I am still like everyone
waiting , i hope they will not go ahead with their operation into Gaza,
the outcome could be horrible ,the resistance movemet are going ahead with
their preperation too,but the balance of power is obvious to wich side
,any way Israel with resistance or no resistance is attacking us all the
time, but this time will be different ,and in the process many civilian
lives will be lost, iam listening to the local radio, it seems that the
operation started in khanyunis ,the artilary started shelling ,under the
cover of apachi heliocapters, and jet fighters , i am able to write now ,
do not know what will happen next, the power might cut off soon , few hours
ago , Mohammed and Sondos had a narrow escape during their way home , a
car exploded 150 meters from my home , close to the president home, one
person died and 4 injured, i cannot help feeling of worry, i am after all
a mother.” Gaza mom–July 2nd, 2006

Let’s back up to the evening of September 11, 2001 when America had suffered it’s worst attack since Pearl Harbor. We won’t go into what may or may not have really happened that day. I’m still trying to figure out who killed Kennedy. Would we have been better off if the following address to the nation was given, now that we can look back and see how much worse off we are as a nation and planet than we were on September 10th, 2001. Perphaps Israel, Paletinians, Iranians, North Koreans, Iraqis and Americans can give this a try for a change. We’ll assume that the reason this speech did not take place is not because there is another agenda and the speaker could not give it with a straight face.

“Good evening my fellow Americans. Today America was attacked and we don’t know why. (I’m not naive, we do know) We grieve at the loss of innocent and hard working Americans who simply got up this morning to go to work and never got to come home. We grieve with and for their families. We are perplexed and while it would be natural to find the real or imagined enemy that has done this to us, we are going to be patient and circumspect so as not to cause more problems for our fellow human beings than we solve with a bad and ill advised reaction. It will not serve anyone to treat the effect. We must ask ourselves why and what is the cause of this horrible act. I intend to do that before we take one more human life. There has always been way too much knee jerk in our history and it only causes more grief, short term and long.

While it may anger those that always need to start shooting within hours or days of such an event, I am calling for a world peace conference where we can find out why this has occurred and take the steps necessary to insure it never does again, for the good of all people. Perhaps we have become something to others that we were not aware of. Perhaps we need to look more deeply at what we have in common rather than what divides us. Perhaps we can turn tragedy and hatred into something more than unending rancor and war between people who share 99.9% of the same genetic family history. ……Perhaps, as that Great American Philosopher, Mr. Rodney King, said…”Can’t we all get along?.”…I think you get the point.

I’m dreaming I know. But if you fancy yourself a “leader of me,” don’t forget the women and children. If you believe with all your heart you have some special quality that we all need to get along, then by all means, show us your stuff. If you are butthead, as many are, please stay home from now on and if you are currently in a position of leadership, so called, retire, step down or quit. We have had enough of your kind.

…”the operation against Gaza ,is continuing,it is 1.30 am,the gaza bridge
has been destroyed, the jet fighters are still in the sky hitting many
targets.
the gaza power plant was hit bt at least 7 missiles , i can see a big fire
from my window , and hear the sirens of emergency vans, the gun boats
started shelling too , i live by the beach…

By Scott Wilson
Washington Post Foreign Service
Friday, June 30, 2006

BEIT HANOUN, Gaza Strip, June 29 — Fatin Shabaat left home here Thursday with her three hip-high children, looking for safety from a slow-moving Israeli military assault launched to free a 19-year-old soldier being held by Palestinian gunmen.

Israeli artillery batteries lobbed shells around this farming community in the Gaza Strip’s northeastern corner throughout the day, after leaflets dropped from the sky warned residents to remain clear of Israeli military operations. Shells whistled overhead, slamming into the fields and dunes where Palestinian gunmen regularly fire crude rockets at the Israeli city of Sderot, a white smudge along a ridgeline three miles away.

Although she never received one of the written warnings, Shabaat clutched her children, ages 2, 3 and 4, and headed to her father’s home in the town center, far from the dirt paths that have served in the past as routes for Israeli tanks. An Israeli airstrike had already left her without electricity, along with about 700,000 other residents of the strip, and artillery shells were falling close to her back yard.

“This is only going to get worse,” said Shabaat, 25,

And indeed it will if we don’t have leadership that reflects a more enlightened approach to governing besides the eye for an eye and teeth for teeth. Soon we shall all be blind and guming our food.
