The founder, president, and chief executive officer of Intelius, Naveen Jain, has gained renown throughout the entire IT industry for his excellent leadership and innovative ideas. He was included in Information Week magazine’s “Six People Who Will Change the Internet” list.
Naveen Jain was raised by his civil engineer father in Uttar Pradesh, one of India’s heavily populated states. At such a young age, Naveen Jain was able to witness how illiteracy can affect the entire society. His early childhood experience has motivated him to strive in attaining the best possible education available for himself. Eventually he was able to complete his BS in engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee and his MBA at the Xavier Labour Relations Institute in Jamshedpur.
During the earlier days of his career, Naveen Jain had offered his services at Bill Gates’ Redmond, Washington-based Microsoft Corporation. Propelled by his innovative and entrepreneurial ideas, Naveen Jain eventually ventured out and established not one but two very successful tech ventures. A few years after he established his first company, InfoSpace, Naveen Jain was able to initiate Intelius Inc., another successful IT company.
Under his direction, Intelius has successfully become a leading information-based security services provider. The company performs criminal checks, background checks, date checks, email lookups, reverse phone lookups as well as many other intelligence services.
For his groundbreaking ideas,Naveen Jain was able to accumulate several distinguished awards from a number of the industry’s prestigious awarding bodies. In 2006, he was nominated as a finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Red Herring also included him as one of the “Top 20 Entrepreneurs of 1997.” In addition to that, the prestigious American Business Awards hailed his company as the winner of the Best New Company Award in 2006.
